Mission
The Karate Club of University of California, Riverside's mission is
fourfold:
First: To enhance the camaraderie and reinforce the lessons of
karate-do among karateka on the UCR campus
Second: To establish and maintain an organization for promoting
sport karate and competition for its members
Third: To represent UCR with excellence and integrity in regional,
national, and international venues
Fourth: To strengthen the ties between karate competition and
scholarly achievement by offering, when possible, scholarships to
selected club members.
Club Membership
Club membership is opened to all students, staff, or faculty of
UCR. Members are encouraged to be actively training or involved
in the instructional/administrative support of karate on the UCR
campus. Active members are encouraged to enroll in the karate classes
offered by the Rec Center, test on a regular basis, and take
part in scheduled club activities as appropriate to their rank.
